Adult 2024 Winter/Spring Classes

Intro to Drawing for Adults with Belinda Moffit (April 14 – May 12)

5 Sessions, Sundays, April 14 – May 12, 2:00pn–4:00pm

In this introductory class, each class will have a short instruction time, a demonstration, followed by practice time with help from the instructor. The students will work through a sketch book which includes lessons, practice pages, and each week’s drawing assignment. At the end of the course the sketch book will serve as the students ‘textbook’ and will showcase all they learned.

Tuition for entire series: Members: $150 Nonmembers: $160

Materials List Intro to Drawing for Adults with Belinda Moffit

Belinda Moffit is a portrait painter with a passion to capture the essence of each person she paints. She is a self-taught artist primarily using classical techniques learned in the Philippines. Pulling from her own art journey, Belinda will teach both classic drawing techniques as well as some of the tricks she’s learned along the way.

Mono-Printing with Walt Padgett

Walt Padgett is an award-winning Oregon printmaker, with over 50 years of teaching experience, including community college, university, public school and private workshop levels.  He personally trained with printmakers Robert McClain, Toshi Yoshida, and Akira Kurosaki, and has been making Japanese woodblock prints since 1978.

Take Your Photography to the Next Level with Tom Glassman

All skill levels welcome. Photography

Dates and times to be determined by student(s) and instructor

Students will learn about tools, accessories, techniques, and lens selection to enhance their photography and printing. Students will be guided in how to look and “see creatively” for impressive photographs – even with a cell phone camera. Classes can be taken individually or as a group. Classes will be customized to what students want to learn and to their time schedule.

TUITION $40 per hour per student

Tom Glassman has extensive experience in photography.  He was creative director of several ad agencies.  Tom’s first love is still black and white photography, as evidenced by many of his images.  His work is in private collections throughout the U.S.  Tom has taught photography and fine art printing for many years.
