Understanding Art: An Art Talk with Kristen O’Neill

Saturday, March 30, 12–2pm

For Artists and/or Art Appreciators

You’ll learn how to apply the “elements of art” and “principles of design” to artwork – and understand exactly what these terms mean! Kristen will model these ideas by walking you through examples from art history.

If you are an artist, you have the opportunity to have Kristen self-critiquing skills to improve your work and problem solve. Are you ready to cut through the confusion and take your artwork to the next level? Are you ready to save years of learning on your own? This is a great opportunity to apply this knowledge to your own art.

Tuition: Members $5 Nonmembers $10

Kristen O’Neill graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2003. After moving to Oregon in 2015, Kristen discovered she loved teaching as much as painting. She taught several thousand students in Southern Oregon, and now is the Executive Director of the Rogue Gallery & Art Center. She believes that art is for everyone, it allows us to express ourselves, and connect to our communities.
