2021 Winter/Spring Classes


Rogue Studio Figure Drawing Sessions
All skill levels welcome. All media welcome.
6 sessions, Mondays, March 1– April 5, 12–3 pm

Three hours of moderated, uninstructed figure drawing sessions with a live model in the Rogue Studio. Adults 18 years and older from beginning to advanced levels are welcome. Moderated by Desmond Serratore, the sessions will include short gestures and longer sustained poses. Students must provide their own drawing materials. Drawing boards, worktables and easels are available for use.



Figure Painting with Ilene Gienger-Stanfield
All Skill Levels Welcome. Oil or pastel media.
3 Sessions, Friday–Sunday, April 16–18, 9 am–4 pm
Ilene’s three day workshop will introduce the technique of identifying shapes within the composition to find the visual truth; cover the fundamentals of drawing, shape, value and edges; and then address the properties of color. Color is powerful, it can inhibit or control its application in art. The workshop will give students a clear understanding of how to navigate this wonderful element of painting. Following lecture and demonstrations, students will paint from live models and photo references.

Plein Air at Lone Ranch with Silvia Trujillo
Beginning through advanced painters welcome. All media welcome.
Saturday, April 24, 10 am–4 pm

Experience painting and drawing in the great outdoors. Enjoy painting the beautiful surroundings of Alpacas at Lone Pine Ranch in Eagle Point, Oregon. Landscape artist Silvia Trujillo will guide you in depicting the beauty of the landscape, creating interesting compositions, and capturing a moment in time. Please bring water, a lunch, and light snack, if desired.

Monotype Printmaking: Texture with Ashley Clasby
All skill levels welcome.
Saturday, May 15, 9 am–3 pm

Create unique art through printmaking. We will explore various techniques of creating texture in monotypes.

PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!   In order for us to hold a class or workshop, we must meet the pre-determined minimum enrollment requirement one week prior to the first class or workshop meeting. If we do not meet the minimum enrollment, the class or workshop will be cancelled due to low enrollment.
