Rogue Studio Figure Drawing Sessions

Spring Series: Tuesdays, May 7–June 11, 6:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.

Six Tuesday evenings for 2 1/2 hours of moderated, uninstructed figure drawing sessions with a live model in the Rogue Studio. Adults 18 years and older from beginning to advanced levels are welcome. The sessions will include short gestures and longer, sustained poses. Students must provide their own drawing materials. Drawing boards, worktables and easels are available for use.

Abstract Floral Composition with Kathy Morawiec
Beginning through advanced painters welcome. Acrylic
Saturday, June 15, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Kathy Morawiec is known for her large-scale, colorful compositions of loose, lively, colorful flowers. She will share her brush techniques to help you create your own beautiful, modern flower painting.

Watercolor & the Water Soluble Pencil with Lane Hall

Beginning through advanced painters welcome.
Wednesday, June 19, 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Learn how to capture breathtaking moments in a work of art using water soluble pencils and watercolor. Lane will demonstrate various techniques and skills using water soluble pencil. Capture luminous color in your work by adding watercolor to accentuate the water soluble pencils. The class will work from still life objects.

Drawing 101: Learning to See with David Terry

All skill levels welcome Pencil and charcoal

Whether you are a beginner wanting a good drawing foundation or an experienced artist wanting to sharpen your skills, David Terry will teach you traditional artist techniques to help you create drawings that accurately reflect what you see.

Simply-Ways to Paint Better with Barbara Martin
Saturday, July 27, 10:30am - 3:30pm
Beginning through advanced painters welcome. Acrylic

In this supportive and fun workshop, you will develop your artist hand and eye using black, white and gray scale with simple tools to increase your painterly vocabulary. Throughout the workshop Barbara Martin will be sharing examples of the mindset and process used to create her award-winning “SuperPly” series.

Oil Painting 101: Learning to See with David Terry

Master oil painter David Terry will teach you traditional techniques in oil painting. Students will learn how to paint what they see using a variety of still life objects.

How to See Creatively with Tom Glassman

August 17, 18, & 24, 12pm-3pm

Two Day Workshop and a field trip

Beginning through advanced artists welcome

For all artists - learn to see your surroundings in creative ways to improve your compositions or even try something new. Tom Glassman will share tips and tricks to recognize intriging possiblities for your art. In class, you''ll look at examples of what works and what doesn't. On the field trip, you will put those lessons to use and find out which ones have a positive impact on your artistic growth.

PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!   In order for us to hold a class or workshop, we must meet the pre-determined minimum enrollment requirement one week prior to the first class or workshop meeting. If we do not meet the minimum enrollment, the class or workshop will be cancelled due to low enrollment.
