At the Rogue Gallery & Art Center, we provide quality art education to inspire and build life-long interest in the arts. Our exceptional art instructors encourage exploration and creativity. We offer classes in painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, cartooning and more!

Family & Friends Art Day

Every Second Saturday of the Month, 12-2pm

June 8, July 13, & August 10


The second Saturday of each month come create, explore, and enjoy discovering art at the Rogue Gallery & Art Center. Create interesting art projects in the Rogue Studio and explore our Main, Community, and Members’ Gallery spaces with an art scavenger hunt the whole family will enjoy! All Children must be accompanied by an adult.

All ages welcome. No charge. All materials provided, no pre-registration required.

Papermaking with Samar Dawisha
for ages 6–10

Tuesday-Friday, June 18– 21, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Your child will discover the ancient art of paper making in this introductory class. Students will create their own paper using traditional techniques and materials. They will explore embossing, marbling and layering to make custom paper from start to finish.

Young Masters Painting:
Creatures with Pravina McClure

for ages 8–12

Tuesday-Friday, June 25– 28, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Whether your child’s favorite animal is real or mythical, they will have fun learning the techniques to draw and paint their favorite creature. Using basic math skills, students will learn how to use a grid to enlarge their drawings. They also will learn painting techniques to make their creatures unique and expressive. Students should bring photos or drawings for reference.

Mix it up! Art Expressions with Samar Dawisha

for ages 6-10

Tuesday-Friday, July 9-12, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

In this exploratory class your child will be inspired to express themselves as an artist. Students will discover the endless possibilities of creating using pastels, watercolor, tempera paint, fabric, paper, and more!

Young Designers:

Fashion Illustration with Pravina McClure
for ages 8–12

Fridays, July 12, 19, & 26, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

From street fashion to runway models, fashion is an exciting, ever changing way of self-expression. Your child will learn how to illustrate their own original fashion designs. Students will practice fashion drawing basics including how to sketch a model and illustrate designs. Students will explore a variety of methods such as collage, painting, and using artist chalk. This is a great class to jump start a design portfolio!

Young Masters Ceramics:

Hand Building with Jenny Calaba

for ages 7–10

Tuesday-Friday, July 30- August 2 & Friday August 9, 1:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m.

Your child will dig into the rich history of clay. Students will explore hand building techniques to create plates and bowls. They will also design one of kind sculptures, trinkets, and more!

Young Masters Drawing:

Learning to See with Jenny Calaba

for ages 11–14
Tuesday-Friday, June 25-June 28 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Your child will dive into perspective, portraiture, and more to draw like a master artist! Students will refine drawing skills and techniques in order to create realistic works of art. Bring in photo/drawing references.

Young Masters Painting:

Pop Art with David Masters

for ages 15–17
Tuesdays, August 6, August 13, August 20 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Pop art celebrates and comments on modern popular culture. Students will create contemporary, vivid art inspired by Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, and other Pop artists. Students will work in watercolor and/or acrylic paint.

* The Rogue Gallery and Art Center Summer Camps provides a light snack, students can bring an additional snack if desired.

PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!   In order for us to hold a class or workshop, we must meet the predetermined minimum enrollment requirement one week prior to the first class or workshop meeting. If we do not meet the minimum enrollment, the class or workshop will be cancelled due to low enrollment.
