She received her BA in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she studied poetry writing under Poet Laureate, Gary Young. After graduating from college, she lived at a retreat center in Ojai, California and on an organic farm on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, where she began writing poetry and making art about her life. She is the author of three illustrated poetry memoirs, “Seed Pearls: Kauai Poems” (2020), featuring her soul collages; “My Perfect Offering: A Novel in Poems” (2021), featuring her acrylic paintings and painted dresses, and “The Ojai Poems: Best Poems” (2025), featuring nine previously hand-bound chapbooks, all available on blurb.com. You can listen to her debut album, “Like a Thousand Pearls” under the group name, Heavenly Flowers, with Casey Gina on Bandcamp. She has exhibited her poetry, paintings and painted dresses at Southern Oregon University’s Oregon Fringe Festival in 2022, and performed her album live at their 2024 Festival. She is the creator, editor, and publisher of The Rogue Valley Anthology Series, publishing over eighty local authors, artists, and activists in two anthologies to date; “Pollinator Anthology” (2022) received the attention of several local news and radio stations.
